Location: This role can be based at any one of the Arts Council of Wales offices in Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen.  We are currently working in a hybrid way.

Our benefits include 30 days annual leave, 2.5 privilege days, flexible working hours/pattern, cycle to work scheme and a final salary pension (6%).

About this role

Controlling the management of our financial resources is critical to the effective operation of the Arts Council.  Working with colleagues, the Finance Assistant processes and records financial transactions.  They manage the day to day operation of all appropriate manual and computerised accounting systems, ensuring data is entered in an accurate and timely manner.

About you

The post holder will have relevant experience or an AAT qualification, knowledge of finance and finance reporting software and highly developed IT and administrative skills.  The ability to work on their own initiative and work effectively under pressure, as well as the ability to communicate facts and knowledge relating to detailed requests and issues is essential.

Welsh language

We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is desirable but not essential for this post. Upon appointment we can support you to learn, develop and improve your language skills and to increase your confidence in speaking and writing in Welsh.
