How a Cardiff gallery benefits from volunteers.

g39, an artist-run contemporary gallery in Cardiff has a community of volunteers who offer their time and knowledge.

Many are students or up-and-coming artists but some people simply use the opportunity to improve their job prospects through work experience, or to give back to a good cause that they value.

g39’s volunteers are central to the day-to-day running of the gallery and to the planning of events and exhibitions.  Several members of g39’s staff and exhibiting artists began their relationship with the gallery as volunteers.
